ScreenRes Active X Control
ScreenRes is an Active X Control that allows you to change the
screen resolution at any time in your program and as many times as you
want. It can also give you information on what the current resolution is
plus loads of other useful bits and bobs. ScreenRes is freeware, meaning it can be freely distributed and used,
without any credit to the authors, although in using it as freeware you
also agree not to hold the authors responsible in the unlikely event of ScreenRes
causing problems on your machine. ScreenRes was programmed using Visual
basic .NET and should be compatible with any programming language capable of

When Do I Need ScreenRes?
If you use several computers that have different Screen
Resolutions or want to distribute your programs over the internet for
example but want to make sure they are viewed in the same resolution in
which they are written, then ScreenRes is the control for you. Maybe you
want part of your program to appear in a certain resolution and another in
a different resolution. What ever the reason, ScreenRes's ease of use means
even if you've never used an Active X control before in your programming

How Do I Use ScreenRes?
ScreenRes is very simple to use. Simply create a resolution setting and pass
it to ScreenRes. Note that not all resolutions will be supported by your graphics cards,

The History of ScreenRes
The reason behind the creation of ScreenRes was caused by old Visual Basic
programs programmed on a 640 by 480 14' monitors, looking wrong when used on new 800 by 600 17' monitors. To prevent having to to resize
all the forms manually an Active X control was developed to change the screen
resolution to 640 by 480 and ScreenRes was born. However from these humble
beginnings ScreenRes has grown into a programmers multi-tool covering many aspects of the screen display. To see the features of the
